Dinner Church

Dinner Church is every Sunday @6:30pm during the semester. We have a meal together, followed by worship.

Dinner Church is located in our partner Church, Church of the Covenant’s Fellowship Hall. 11205 Euclid Ave. Cleveland, OH.

Dinner Church is a time to center, enjoy friends, and worship in community before the week starts. We enjoy a meal cooked by a local church or community friend, discuss scripture, have bi-weekly communion (open to all), sing, and worship.

What’s Dinner Church like?

What’s the music like?

Uplifting, participatory, poignant, and fun. From traditional hymns, spirituals, global songs, modern worship songs, and popular styles. Student musicians are always welcome and wanted!

Here is a Spirit Song episode led by Campus Minister, Amanda Powell to get a sense of her style.

Who’s invited?

Students from Case, Tri-C, and CSU. Board members, local church members and friends, everyone, you!

What’s for Dinner?

Local churches usually provide meals for Dinner Church. Sometimes we have pizza or other restaurant food. Common meals are spaghetti, casseroles, tacos, and more. If you have specific dietary requests, please reach out and we will do our best!

Prayer List

Dear God, we open our hearts and minds to you and offer these prayers of gratitude and prayers for peace, health, and connection. We pray for:

  • staying in the moment.

  • Those affected by wildfires in California

  • those affected by gun violence.

  • rest.

  • for peace in the political reality of our country.

  • for all the people in Israel and Palestine. And for peace there.

  • to navigate anxiety.

  • holding the joy alongside the challenge.

  • Friends who are depressed or struggling.
